There are are a large number of abilities in ToL. Abilities are split up into 3 types:

  • Passives
  • Day Abilities
  • Night Abilities

You can only use one active ability per day or night round. For example, the King cannot use the Royal Finger to vote a player up, and then use Decide Fate on the same day.

Note: The feedback section for abilities on this page is currently out of date! Please do not rely on it being accurate.

Nightshade Wine
Poisoned Wine Day 1 You will poison the King, causing him to die in one night if not healed by a Physician or an Alchemist. The King will not know they were poisoned. If the King is a member of the Blue Dragon, you will take your own life. You can't use this ability until Day 4.
Serve Wine
Serve Wine Night Occupy a player by getting them drunk. The Butler will be notified if the target cannot be occupied, as they will refuse the wine.
Concentrated Wine
Concentrated Wine Night 2 Throw a party, occupying everyone that targets you.

The Butler's Ability Feedback:

Nightshade Wine

On use: "You poisoned the King."

Serve Wine

When you target someone: "You prevented [Target] from taking any action."

If the action failed against them: "You were unable to occupy [Target]. They are occupy immune."

Concentrated Wine

Time Warp Night Delays a player’s death for 2 days. This will delay bleeding and poison in addition to attacks. You can prevent a death multiple times. Cannot delay unhealable attacks or suicide.
Distort Reality
Distort Reality Night Transfer all deaths delayed with Time Warp to another player. This does not count as an attack.

The Chronomancer's Ability Feedback:

Pocket Dimension

On use: "If you die tonight, your death will be delayed for two nights."

Time Warp

On success: "You delayed [Target]'s death for two nights."

On non-death success: "[Target] did not die last night."

Distort Reality

On use if attacked: "Your bear killed players attacking you last night."

Nosy Servants Night 3 Target a living player and dead player. You will learn if the living player visited the dead player on the night they died. Does not count as visiting. Will not see non-visiting abilities.

Heal Night Heal the target player. This will prevent their death and cure any bleeding.

Self-Care Night 2 If you are attacked tonight, you will heal yourself.

Imprison Day Choose a player to jail tonight. They will be protected from all visits. Can only Imprison the same player three times. (Imprisoning occupies the imprisoned person and bypasses occupation immunity).
Execute
Execute Night 3 Kill the imprisoned player (Bypass Night Immunity). If you execute a member of the Blue Dragon, you lose all your remaining executions.

Note: Can't be used until Night 3.

The Prince's Ability Feedback:

Imprison

On first use: "You will imprison [Target] tonight."

On consecutive uses: "You will instead imprison [Target] tonight."

If you deselect a target: "You decided not to imprison anyone tonight."

* After failing to convert twice in a row, if your next conversion would fail it will instead target a random convertible player.

Foresight
Foresight Night 4 Discover a player’s converted class type or if they cannot be converted.
